a walk to the pond

Delighfully warm weather so I took a bit of a stroll. No idea what these small yellow flowers are.

The vegetation around the pond is quite overgrown. These ferns were knee high. I plowed through them to reach the pond. I wore long pants and socks so as to avoid ticks.

The pond is wild and magical. Something was sitting out there on the rock. It didnt move. I thought I could enlarge the photo and figure out what it was. But even on my "slide show" selection I couldnt make it out.

Today the men come and remove a layer of floor which warped from the water. They will set up many professional weight fans and dehumidifiers which will run loudly for two days. We, me and the cats, can be outside during the day, however not sure till I hear the sound whether we can sleep here.

Orange. The sacral chakra color.

I wonder if that's a salamander on the rock? I enlarged the photo and put my glasses on, seems too slender to be a turtle.

The photos are really nice, esp the way the lillies frame the bottom one.

Good luck with sleeping issues. Hopefully it will just become white noise!

Suki, I love your magical pond....it is like something out of a fairy tale. The walk there and back was gorgeous - all that lush, green vegetation.....I can almost feel the warmth.... the Summer....

I am glad the repair work is begining - but praying that the noise will not be too loud. Where will you sleep if it is? I hate to ask, but will your bother put you and the cats up for a few nights? (The kitties have delicate ears...)

Sending you strength and courage, this will pass and it will begin to improve so you can move forward.

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

Magical is the perfect word for your walk through the woods and the pond itself. Beautiful.

Hope all goes well with the work.

Love all the beautiful foliage. The little yellow flowers look like stars! So pretty.
and the pond is a lovely place to trek to and enjoy!

Good luck with the clean up, hope it dries quickly and will be livable again very soon. I am thinking we will be spending some time in a local motel when our workers begin here.

You seem to have your own secret garden there by the pond Suki. I hope you aren't driven out of your bed by all the noise.

Cris, the carpet is going to the dump. Its the walls they are drying out, the lower part, where water leached into the wallboard.
