The colors of my neighborhood

When Britt-Arnhild challenged her readers to do a post on colours, as the British spell it, I began searching. Most of the colors in my 'hood come from plants and many are but subtle hues. I have no shops up here to show you colorful wares and foods. Robin also was inspired and posted the colors of San Francisco.

Honeysuckle whose perfume also colors the air.

Do you love butter? Hold a buttercup under your chin and if you see yellow, the answer is yes!

For Robin
My little red Toyota Matrix, Mom's gift to me.

Suki, how fun that we were both inspired by Britt's post! Thank you for "introducing" me to her...

Love your colours - so vivid, so warm! (A big thank you for "my flower".....GORGOUS!) And, how perfect is that red car for you!
I can see you behind the wheel, with your red beret on, as you drive through the countryside.

You sound like you are feeling much better! Continue to heal...have a wonderful, warm weekend!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

I had forgotten you also posted about CDVs. Did you pop over and visit Alan? You'll love his blog!

LOVE that RED car. Yes I too can see you with your red beret on driving it. :) There are all sorts of colors tucked away in a field. Little butter cups and wild flowers that most dont even notice. I like carrying my camera around because it makes me SEE whats around us. Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous colors surrounding you! Gee, I haven't heard that saying about buttercups since I was a kid. Thanks for the memories there.

The colors of that first photo are like a smashing abstract painting!

Your Toyoto reminds me of my bright red Alfa Romeo I drove years ago.I barely could pay my rent after making the car payment,,haha, but I managed for a while. Then I got over it.

Love those flowers- always my favorite- some of the most amazing things in nature- both in symmetrical shapes, gorgeous colors and the velvet way their petals feel!

Lots of gorgeous colours! Nobody does it better than Mother Nature. Nice of you to go out and gather them and bring them all back "home" to share.

I love that British spelling "colour." Somehow it seems richer, closer to what "color" means.

Is it true that a red car provokes certain drivers to try to drag with you? An old friend told me that once. She drove a red car.
