behind this door, I had wonderous adventures

Kim and Andrea have been doing Paris door drawings. Here is a San Francisco door, behind which I once lived. Robin sent me a photo of the door and I have been trying to draw it for a week or so. Finally it came out fairly okay except I wish I hadnt gone in with the brush pen and indicated the mottling in the marble facade. Drawn with a Micron pen.

Suki - I recognised this door at once! Ha-ha! I do believe that wonderous adventures were had behind this door.....hmmmm...perhaps a book in the making?

The sketch is spot-on!

Mother's Day dinner sounded delicious - and Aaron was so wonderful to do clean up!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

I'm thinking those glass blocks weren't easy!
Some stories about inside that door would make for good blog posts,,,

A nice drawing. The photo was nice too, but your personal touches with pen and ink give it character.

What a great drawing. Everyone is into doing doors. I have painted a few in years past. They really are interesting.. How long did you live behind that door?

Doors are fascinating things. I don't know why, but I have always had a "thing" for doors and windows. I will refrain from remarking on your "wonderous adventures" and just use my imagination! :) I think you did a fine job on the door since I remember seeing the original photograph you posted some time back.

Hey Suki, this door looks wonderful and the memories show through in every line. As I look at it I wonder what adventures this door opened for you and how it's opening to you changed your life. That is a lovely thing about doors, isn't it?

Thanks Suki and I am glad you like this adventure!
