The lights are on!!

I received this darling wooden house from Lolo yesterday. She painted two of the windows with the lights on. For the rest, she found it in a consignment shop. I love these wooden houses. Thanks Lolo.

I am trying to remain negativity free and calm. There seem to be so many details to attend to around buying a house. I had a termite inspection done on Friday but don't yet know the results. Then a home inspection will take place on Tuesday. I won't attend but my friend old pajamas will in my stead.

After the inspection, which I suspect will say at least that the house needs a new roof, possibly new furnace and new appliances, I will resubmit my offer to accommodate for these items. The current owners will then respond with whatever. To me this is a very hard part.

If we agree on all the issues, the closing will take place March 31st.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, which is easy for me to feel really. So just trying to be steady and move forward one step at a time.

Love the postcard in the header....good luck with all the inspections. Your're right, don't think ahead, just take one step at a time and use all you find out to negotiate things to be fixed and a lower price! Good luck.

Love the house. Love that postcard in your header too. Wow Lolo is one talented lady. So glad you have your friend helping you now. That makes it so much easier. I & I say I, because my DH had to deal with dumping much junk from Dads home & finishing up jobs, so I had to deal with the sale of two homes, since my Dad had died in the process of selling our homes to move somewhere, and find a home far away in a place I didnt know much about. So if I can do that you can do this. Just Breathe & set your mind on auto pilot...:)

yes, it's stressful but in the end, so worth it...we had a problem with the title when we bought our home and it took 6 months to settle and even that ended up okay--we've been here almost 30 years and i totally love my house ;-)

i'm glad someone will do the inspection in your stead--now, just remember your yoga breathing ;-)

I didnt' realize that was a post card in the banner. I had to go back and look again. Loved the cat with the beret immediately. Such a pair you are!!!!

Bless Old Pajamas for being such a big help to you!

Yes, I would well imagine the sellers are expecting to have to lower the price by paying for the much needed repairs and improvements. You deserve brand new appliances (and pick out good ones! Energy effiecent, etc.) and a new roof! Maybe even MORE! OP will find out!!! He seems to know the ropes! Hope so anyway.

Wishing you the very best of luck with all of this. Now go relax!

The waiting is always the hard part about buying a house. Just remember to breath deep.

Your header is fantastic, lol!
When I bought this place the inspector handed me a big three ring binder. I hope that yours holds together with a staple!

I love your new header. That Lolo really knows how to spoil a person. I don't see how you can be so calm. I am excited and I don't have anything to do with it. Wish I lived closer I would be happy to help. I am glad you have good friends to help.

It sounds like you are right on track for a home buyer. Is Pippi's energy keeping you company?

Pippi is really a boon for me. I have her picture in my car and just ordered the first Pippi book. When I fail and feel overwhelmed I just think of Pippi and answer, What would Pippi do.

I think this is the hardest thing for many of us...to keep going forward even when things get uncomfortable. But that's where growth and liberation really take place. My thoughts are with you! P.S. LOVE the blog header!

When someone said Lolo was talented, I thought: Wow, what an understatement! Love that banner, and house.
"These are the times that try mens souls",,,,I read that somewhere, sometime.I think it applies.
Just baby steps,,when the unknowns and unpredicatables become knowledge,,you'll be equipped. Just remember that you are.
And it doesn't hurt having Old Pajamas around at all,,,men often have eyes that see obstacles as doables.
All the best Suki,,,,,,,

Hello Suki!

I have been thinking of you so much. This is an exciting time and a stressful time. It is good old pajamas is going to be there for the inspection, and I remain positive all the negotiations will work out in your favor! If you can get that roof taken care of that is a huge deal to be sure (I am looking at that on my house now).

Like all of your friends, I am eager to hear how things unfold for you!

What a precious doll house. Good luck with the whole house-buying process. I've been on both ends of home inspections--as buyer and seller--seems like something always comes up.
