Expecting, snow that is.

I have taken a walk every day for the last three days. Click to enlarge to see the ripples of snow.

Expecting up to 8 inches of snow today. We missed the last few big storms that hit DC and other areas so I guess it is our turn.

(photo: patterns on the road) However, it is interfering with my plans to drive to the Cape. Since I feel a bit better re: infections/bugs, I planned to drive down on Wednesday. Sounds like the roads will be clear down near Boston, however up here not so certain. May have to delay till Thursday.

The reason for a trip is to see this house. Even though I swore I would not drive down there for one house, this one might or might not be worth it. The house itself is typical of homes in my price range. Ranch, 800 square feet, fireplace, one bath, two bedrooms, deck, 1/3 acre of land. I would not go for the house itself.

But the location is super. Right on a pond and abutting a largish conservation area. I know this area well. One can also walk to the center of the village to PO, small grocery and cafe. And with more ambition one can walk to the beach.

Most likely will go fast due to location. So we shall see if I make it down or not. If not, that's okay. Remember I still have an offer in on a bank owned in Harwich.

As always Suki, your photos are exceptional.Love the abstractedness,,if that's a word.

Safe trip,,,if you go. The location sounds like just what you're looking for, and the photo,,I'm imagining it with the trees all out in summer: gorgeous!
Eight inches,,,take care.

That is a sweet little house - 1/3 acre, a pond - close to town - walk to beach! Can you say "dream home?"

Suki, greetings from San Francisco!

I hope the weather (and your health) allows you to make the trip South and bid for this house....it is close to perfect for you and I can imagine how darling it will be during the other three seasons of the year.

Hope your cats are all doing well.

I'd like a house on a pond like that... and within walking distance to the village is super.

I went for a walk the other day with a friend in her neighborhood. There was a nice little stream with frozen ice... but it was too cold and snowy for me to climb down for a better vantage point to take photos.

Sounds like a wonderful little home, close to both nature and town. How nice that you could walk to the town and maybe the beach, too. Hope it works out!

This one does sound ideal Suki. And I love the fact that it abutts conservation land. And it's familiar grounds!
I do hope the storm skirts you and you can make it tomorrow.

That storm didn't dump too much here and it's already mostly gone from afternoon drizzle.

But I know NH and how it calls the snow. I hope you can get there!

Thank you for your email. I'll respond when I have my wits about me. I can't seem to keep my eyes open today!

here's hoping for you...

Suki, I left a comment before, however it doesn't appear to be here now...mmmm. Oh well. I had said how much I love your photographs and you have a great eye for the details of nature.

I love this house a lot and am glad to hear the location is one which suits you so nicely. It truly does look charming and with your mark on it, I am sure it will be the best in the neighborhood. If you are meant to have it, then I am sure it will be yours!

It is great to hear you are feeling better and even contemplating this trip down to see this wondeful house. If you decide to go, by all means have a safe trip and enjoy, too.

I am eager to hear what you decide.

Cute little house...in the woods...sounds perfect. I can't imagine living in something that small. I'd like 800 feet for my studio! LOL But you seem to be okay with small. Good luck. I hope it waits for you.
