[Suki Suki LOVE Shot] Robokiss

A bit ago Willow posted a video of the song "Willow Weep for Me." What fun. There are a number of songs about me too. Sue songs. "Runaround Sue," "Wake Up Little Suzy," "A Boy Named Sue," "Peggy Sue," and "Sweet Sue." All of which have great videos. But I chose this quirky one about "Suki."

How about you? Do you have a song named after you? Or were you named after a song? Post a video song using your name and I'll create a link on this post to your post. Let me know when you've posted your song by leaving a comment below.

ps and apropos of nothing: I sometimes pretend I was named after Susan Hayward, a movie star popular in the 40's but really I was named after my Great-grandmother Susan on my mother's side.

Here are links to Melanie and kelly's songs.

Mona Lisa is the only song I know of that uses my name. I am not named after anyone in particular. I wish I knew how to load these utube songs on my blog. I would do it if I did. I had never heard of the namd Suki until I found your blog. I think it sounds so exotic.

Yes, that header is awesome, I love sepia.
Cute video, and I always wished I'd been named Susan.I named my horse Susie when I was 12.
Ba-ba-ba-ba-bara ann
Ba-ba-ba-ba-bara ann
I'm pretty sure the Beach Boys sang that especially for me.
:-D
I heard it a lot, all up and down the halls in high school from the kids teasing me.

Is that YOU in the banner? Did someone take that photo of you or did you somehow do it yourself?
You are that clever!
It's beautiful.

My middle name, which is Marsha, was named after Marsha Hunt, a movie star from maybe the 1920s or 30s...40s? Not sure. I know no songs for Lynn. John and Marsha comes to mind for my middle name. LOL That was a funny song from my childhood. Remeber it? John?....Marsha? in different voice inflections. Was it a song? Or a comedy routine? Oy, I'm getting old and forgetful.

Great new header Suki. Names that don't roll off the tongue aren't usually in lyrics. I used to tease my Mom that she named by after salt - Leslie Salt.

Love that header!!! And the whole idea with the video.

My real name is Theresa and I was named after my Aunt whose nickname was Tracy but my friend decided my nickname would be Teri but no songs after any of these.

I love your name of Suki but had no idea it was really Susan. Fun!

Sadly, there are no songs with my name - Hilary. I was named after an aunt and HATED my name when I was a kid. The only other person anyone had ever heard of with the name Hilary then was Sir Edmond Hillary, the explorer, but he was a man and that was his last name.

Hilary, I think your name has come of age.

Lynn, I took my picture of me myself using the self-timer. I dont remember John and Martha song

Its fun to hear about you guys' names.

Lovely Header...I like the sepia tone.
Cute and quirky on the Suki song. After all these years someone will sing "Mary Ann down by the seashore sifting sand"..........such a silly song. Leonard Cohen has a Mary Ann song and Johnny Mathias sang a Mary Ann song a hundred years ago.

A friend of mine once wrote, composed and sang a song for my birthday. She roughly set it to the tune of the country song "Jolene" but replaced it with "Darlene".

fun post.
I like to identify with 'hey jude' though it's not technically a Judy song. I pretend I was named for Judy Holliday though that isn't strictly the truth...

anyone around here remember Lesley Gore? she had a hit called 'Judy's turn to cry'.

I remember Judy's turn to cry. LOL. Hey Jude is a great song too.
