The Canvas Book

I continue to play with my canvas book, still unbound. Still in process. From time to time I add paint layers. I rearranged the pages, although now I think I have the order down. I still have no focus or theme for this book and if I came up with one it might move along a bit faster.

I printed some of my collagraph's on a few pages though. They come out faint and worn looking. I like this effect. Click to enlarge to see better. In fact, this is an effect I have been trying to get on other collaged pages and never succeeded.

I think I want to add some words so I must get a focus soon.

Wow. I found a bunch of new commenters on my blog post from yesterday. They came over from Willow's blog. Thanks for the shout out Willow!! Check out her blog post today about stereoscopes. I sent her a stereoscope card I have had for years of Lincoln. So she did a post about stereoscopes, viewmasters (I had one of those as a kid, didn't you?) and skeleton leaves.

Could the word you're looking for be 'focus'?
Wonderful pages Suki,,,,

I love Babs comment, it made me laugh!

And thanks for another good idea, using the collagraphs as book pages. The canvas pages are great. Are they easy to write on? With what pray tell? (besides paint)

Focus. Thanks Babs.

Lynn, I would either use my rubber stamps alphabet with ink pad ink, or possibly my Micron pen.

You have so much fun with your pages and books! I love seeing and hearing about them.

I remember seeing a stereoscope in school...talk about a word from the past!

I don't do anything with canvas. You have inspired me to at least purchase a piece to see what might evolve. Your book is so interesting and colorful.

This book is so pretty, and would make a lovely journal! That's something new to try this year. You could add photos and commentary about your year as it unfolds. In any case, it is beautiful.

your paint on top of the canvas is creating some wonderful textures-- the words will come soon..
