The Pond Revealed

My son just cut down all the weeds and brush around the pond. Most of the summer I could access the pond only with difficulty, making my way through the brush.

Here is the lawn chair I left at the pond for the summer. It became so covered at one point that I couldnt find it. Now it is faded and the webbing is too fragile to sit on.

The far end of the pond. As my son says, the water is greyish. But plentiful after the rain. This is a man made pond, made many years ago.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend. Happy Halloween.

These are lovely images. I especially am pulled into the one looking over the pond back to the house. Thank you.

I'd like to think that humans naturally reflect beauty like water does.
Nothing quite compares to nature in all her splendor.
Beautiful pics Suki!

annie it was a lovely trip for me too to be able to get down there close to the water

Lynn, I love to live in beautiful places and have been lucky enough to do that for much of my life.

Thanks for looking, Leslie.

This is so special to have a pond in your backyard...and with a chair (wobbly) to watch nature's show! A place to calm your head and heart and feel the fresh air...how nice to have it cleared by your son!

How beautiful Suki. Now go pour yourself a hot steamy cup of tea, grab a nice wooly throw and go sit by that pond! Wish I could.

PS What a sweetie of a son you have.

Happy Halloween to you too. I am glad you can now see the pond again. Give your son a pat on the back for this job.

Dear Suki, these photo's are beautiful (as all your photo's are). I love the colour of the autumn leaves. Is your pond close to the house?

Blue Sky. Yes, I missed being able to sit by the pond this summer except for once in awhile when I tramped thru the brush.

Cleveland Girlie, my son is a dear for sure. My brother is paying him to do some work on the farm which now all belongs to the bro.

Yogaforcynics, today is another warm though overcast day. I am loving this prolonged "Indian summer." many years Halloween night is very cold.

teri C, it is a great spot.

Lisa, thanks.

Cris, it is a bonus to be able to see my son more often. I like him a lot. I know that sounds kinda dumb but anyway.

dianne the pond is close to the house. At the bottom of the field. I can see the pond from the living room window, even better now that the leaves are gone and many of the bushes die back in the fall.

There are some wonderful shots here Suki. Now that I'm back I can smell the same air that's in those photos. That makes it all the more real for me now.
Thanks for sharing ;)
