A bit of this and a bit of that

On Saturday I drove to Peterborough and stopped in at some artists' open studios. No photos of that after the trouble I got in last year. But here is a little stream running through the town. Lots of people out and about.
Many brick buildings in the downtown area. Bought a new pair of shoes for winter walking. And a book in the little bookstore which I've already finished.

On the way home I stopped to take photos of this mill which I often pass by. Hmm, this photo doesnt show the water.

Oh, here we go.

A number of big old evergreens cut down near my house. I wonder why?

Do stop by Willow's blog today as it is the day of the Ball at Willow Manor. I couldn't go as all I had to wear were some torn jeans and a moth holed sweater but lots of other folks have attended.

What a quaint town. Looks like a fun place to visit. hmm I wonder why they cut those trees down too. Sad to see a tree go but then sometimes safety is a factor. Off to visit Willow.

This little town looks like an old European town.

Hi Suki, I have never been through that town, but it looks so NE! It looks like it was a beatiful day, so I am sure you saw a lot of people. Come to think of it, though, I never knew weather to keep NEers inside! :-)

That is very sad about the trees being cut down! The one you are showing here sure doesn't look as though it has any disease! Oh, how sad. I suppose there are a lot of people who like to have a lot of control over nature! Poor trees and all of those they supported!

Oh Suki, I love this little town! How pretty and clean and inviting. That mill looks like a fun tour waiting to happen.
Wow, wonder why they are cutting down such nice, big trees? I hate when that happens.
Pretty photos.

Lovely lovely would love to take this walk with you Suk.

I am enjoying the book you sent me.
Yes, it's set in my neck of the woods, and each page brings another memory of another event or place. The Great Peace March she talked about my son walked from Oregon to DC! He also did the one in Russia...and is not a huge part of planning Green Peace March.

Suki, your photographs always make me want to visit New England. I have never been there!

I have, however, been to Willow Manor, a while ago, but I didn't know that such elegant affairs were being hosted there. I'm in a pink bathrobe right now. I wonder if that's acceptable attire. Curses. I just realized--I'm too late anyway. :-(

I went to open studios in Holyoke last weekend. Met some artists and came home energized to paint.

Nice shots of the mill.
