Cutting the fields

The last cutting of the fields for this year, marking a transition between summer and fall.

A peek of the pond, hidden by August's wild growth. I can't get up close, it's a jungle of trees and vines.

View sitting at the car place for an oil change. I havent had much to say lately. Just all wound up inside and wondering what's next.

The photo of the mowed field is wonderful!

I call the stage you are in (when I'm in it) composting - where what was is melting down, and becoming the rich feed for the next phase. Love the mowed field shot.

Suki, I am always so pleased when you come visit me at my blog.

I can't get over the "AWE" reaction I have to the photo in your banner with those shadows/lines...don't know why, it just happens~When I come to yours.

I imagine you in such a limbo place right now...it must be hard...I wish there were words to make it easier, to make it pass more quickly for you...or maybe it's just a necessary time for jelling...and the next step will happen in it's own good time when you are "done" and "ready" and it will be "exactly right". In the meantime, just know you are being thought about and cared about...

...and I look forward to your next visit.

Nemaste...Shalom...Peace

Lisa, the crisp mornings and cool but sunny afternoons do feel like autumn.

Mary, oh how I would love to splash around in pulp and make paper. Although I plan a week on the upper cape I will be doing the house buying thing or maybe the renting thing which wrings me out so I can barely walk so most likely will have to wait for another papermaking time. but thanks.

willow, i just love looking at the mounds of alfalfa or whatever and the patterns they make against the grass.

Leslie, well put. I am composting. I just wish the composting would move along faster. maybe i need some lime?

lynn, limbo. its funny but I was going to do a post about this in between self and now with your response and Leslie's I think maybe I already did it?? Huh.

Oh I loved what Leslie said and Lynn. Cant add anything else but that I too enjoy your visits and your blog posts... even if your in limbo we all like to know you're OK.Good you are going to try again. You can be in limbo even with a mate around you know. It isn't just for singles only.

Unwind and get ready to blow in the wind for a bit. Think how nice the fragrance of a wind-blown sheet fresh off the line; delightful to wrap up in and drift to slumber and a host of fresh sweet dreams.

This is a time of transition and should be enjoyed like all the rest. Stand firm, stretch out your arms, catch the breeze as you sail into the next phase . . . it's almost like flying, if you let yourself believe. Anticipate the best.

Peaceful wishes to you.

I find it is sometimes impossible to match words to what is going on inside of me. Sometimes, the emotions are so overwhelming I can't even think of anything much less speak it. Maybe that is why the visual creativity is so important in my life. If I can express it in a different way, it seems to scrape away that layer of not knowing to reveal an expression with words. Sometimes that scraping away takes a long time for me. My most recent time with that was earlier this summer. At least after that, I can write words for myself.

It seems these things just take tons of time.

I am sure loving your collages and they seem to say a lot about what you are dealing with and how you are dealing with it - carry on, you seem to be on a contemplative, but good path.

Have a Great Weekend!

Three transitions:
Cut field
Over grown tangle
Paved parking lot

We're having a little nip in the morning air these days, Suki. Change is afoot.

Wishing you smooth transitions and doors opening--even if they only hint at what's beyond--like your pond photo.
