Tra la, it's May, the lusty month of May

Fiddleheads are appearing.

I brought my lawn chair down by the pond and sat in peace and beauty the other day.

This week I have looked inside 4 houses for sale quite nearby. One held much appeal except for the thought of winter. It was very, very small. Well, 1000 square feet on 1/10 of an acre.

Today I could go to a craft fair and run errands. Not sure if I will do that or stay at home and just chill.

If my vote counts, I say go to the craft fair. I have an Artists' Studio Tour to attend today and the Roller Derby this evening.

I love the lusty part, teehee! All the spring rites, like the Furry Dance and Padstow Hobby Horse and Minehead Sailors Horse...all rites of Spring in England. We have to make our own here in the USA and certainly fiddleheads could be part of that :-)

I wish you a pleasant weekend, whether you go to the craft fair or not!

Ah lovely signs of spring there. Good to go sit and enjoy the pond.
I would go to the Craft fair too. Hope you figure out the house situation. Just remember, The more space and yard you have the more upkeep you have too. :)

Yes, go to the craft fair after you've eaten those garlic chichen sausages!! Wow, they sound scrummy..

I say stay at home and chill :-), but I am a hermit :-). Beautiful photos!

Love those fiddleheads and that peaceful pond.

I say go to the fair! Sounds like fun.

I love watching fiddleheads unfurl by checking them daily.
They're kind of like the spiral of life.

The craft fair may inspire you Suki! The muse may nudge you to go.

I love the pond shots. Another painting idea. I wish my supplies weren't in the garage.

Happy weekend!

These are gorgeous photos, as always. That pond is such a mirror,,,into who knows what all?
Reflecting in it is good for you, as you never know what answers you might find there.

Hey Chewy, those sound like fun events. Have a great time.

Julie, the pond is a little bit of heaven for sure. thanks for your good wishes.

Teri, I had to chuckle when I wrote "lusty" as I havent seen much of that in a number of yrs. :)

claudia, actually I stayed at home. I've been out running around so much lately. But a chill wind is keeping me indoors.

Cris, that is so true. I viewed one house with an acre of grass around it. Yikes! Too much work.

Jude, I did eat the sausages for lunch. They are tasty.

Annie, indeed I played hermit today. I am quite a hermit myself you see plus kitties were out and I had to be here for when they return.

Teri i have to look it up but I am pretty sure folks eat fiddleheads in salad.

Lolo, last time i had a big move I packed all my art supplies up first. This time i've left a few out for packing last.

babs, i feel lucky to have this pond here. In all the years they owned the place I dont think my folks ever sat down here by the pond. At least I never saw them nor my brother nor sister in law down here. Now I think I'd erect a little pond gazebo were it mine. I hope i can be near water. One of the houses I looked at up here had a lovely pond with koi in it.

The pond looks peaceful. I have to say the small house sounds cozy and easy to keep up! You will know when it's the right one. Enjoy your weekend, whatever you decide to do.

Those fiddleheads look so yummy. Have a great weekend no matter what you decide to do.

Lovely photos, lovely place to chill, and that first one looks like an art piece made from fabrics and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

In no special order, go to the craft fair, sit down at the pond, hang around the house, enjoy your house visits and eat those wonderful garlic sausages!

sukipoet said...

Artist unplugged, thanks for your vote of confidence.

Lisa, I should go out and pick some and try them.

Lynn the fuzziness of the fiddleheads does make them look like fabric.

blue sky, I did all you list except for the craft fair. just wanted to stay home.

don't think i have ever seen a 'fiddlehead' before, how pretty, how tranquil. if a house 'talks' to you, then it should be yours. for me, the smaller the better ('all i want is a room somewhere...') i hate big places and fuss, love cosy and affordable but it must 'talk' to me!

I love your photos, Suki, especially the one of the fiddleheads. Isn't nature wonderful? I hope you find the right house for yourself, Goldilocks. I know how exhausting the search can be. We looked for two years before finding this house. When we did, it just clicked. When you see it you'll know.

oh suki, these photos are magnificent!! the fiddle heads and last one are spectacular.

just wondering: are there 2 very good reasons to move and stay in your current location? (not one, but 2).... :)

marianne said...

Hope you chosed for the last option!
To chill is important!
Lovely pictures!

soulbrush, small does seem to mean less house to worry abt.

Katie Jane thanks for telling me it took you two years of looking! I have been feeling as if some folks thing i am taking too long a time, looking here and there. i guess everyone is different in this process.

KJ thanks for the questions. Two good reasons to move would be: l) to have my own place and unpack all my things and get settled 2)i want to be among my friends and old pathways

Two good reasons to stay in my brothers/mother/s house: l) i am lazy and dont like to move 2) it is cheaper here

Marianne, i did stay home and read. I didnt even do my yoga or take a walk. i was very very lazy.

Ah Suki, it sounds like a lovely day to just do what you feel like doing...you know, if you move yourself towards the art fair then that is great, if you hang out and chill then that is what is meant to be. I love days like that.

I have to say I have lived in small houses and large ones. The thing about the small ones is there is not a lot of time spent cleaning! LOL...

Have a Beautiful Day!

kj said...

suki, i don't pretend to know what's best for anyone else, but i'll give you my impression:

'lazy' and 'cheap' are not strong reasons.

'settled' and 'friends' are.

do you agree?

good luck with the house hunting. our house is 1100 sf and we have 1/5 acre. small is easy to take care of and heat. we raised 2 kids here and have always had a houseful of pets and guests so it can be done! having said that, you'll know when you find the right one because you'll love it ;-)
