That looks great Suki,,,simplicity is where it's at for me too. We still have some super beautiful red leaves, and a few bright yellow. They're scattered along the center of the table, along with some apples, and pine cones from the yard.I love decorating from whatever God has given us to work with.
And those are beautiful plates you have,,,,and those treasured deer,,,,so meaningful!
Happy Thanksgiving!

this is a wonderful image, I love the deer, it is so delicate, and elegant and smooth. And the green and red goes well with it. Have a happy time Thanksgiving today, together with your Mom, and I thank you for being there...always with inspiring artwork and words,
love

Jude, thank you so much. Much peace and love to you also.

Poemhome, thanks for stopping by. Happy thanksgiving to you.

Thanks Babs. I too most often use what nature has given for the table decorations. The dishes are Mom's and she's used them for everyday for years.

Andrea, thank you too for being there and inspiring us all to greater heights.

human being, thank you. YOu too are a precious friend. I think of you every day and send prayers.

Soulbrush, the meal went off very well and the turkey, a locally raised fellow, was divine. Oops, maybe I shouldnt say this to a vegetarian.

Karen, thank you and may your day be filled with light.

thank you Marianne.

Thank you Britt-arnhild.

Happy Thanksgiving Sweet Suki! I have thought of you today creating a special day for you and your family. I adore your centerpiece and how you have used the deer you remember from your childhood. Here I set the table with dishes which my grandfather purchased for my mother when he lived in Hawaii with his other daughter. They are quite Asian and very simple, too. I love that.

Can you tell me what that plant is with the berries? I think you can make these lovely wreaths from it.

Thank You Suki for all of your kindnesses to me.

KIm, your Thanksgiving sounds so lovely with the plates that contain so much history and memories. the plant....hmmm. I posted a picture before and Mary commented with the name and now I cant recall. I think you can stick these in wreaths with other things like pine branches. Perhaps you are thinking of bittersweet vine though. It has red berries with an orange casing around them and as it is a vine you can make it into a wreath easily. There is none of that around here. Actually it is considered invasive. This one i think might be cherry wild cherry or something. I can look back on my posts perhaps.
