This chair/table folded up into a high chair. I am at my Gram's house here. We lived with Gram and Gramps while Dad finished his internship or something at Bridgeport Hospital.

Me and Mom. Not sure how old I was. Back in those days, we both had dark hair.

Charcoal and sepia conte crayon.

Happy birthday!

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier in the week and commenting on my painting. Of course, when I paint in the eyes, she'll have pupils, so they'll be less creepy! LOL! You are right -- my cold is my body's way of making me take notice. I do have a lot on my plate right now, and have not been taking proper care of myself. I'm trying to do better, though.

Hope you have a fabulous day today! As lynn said, "Make it so!" -- and hope your finger gets to feeling better!

Happy Birthday!!!

Sounds like a good plan for the day--I've never had a facial, so you'll have to tell all about it. Hope you feel pampered!

Those pictures of you are terrific. You certainly were cute. I can see the wheels turning in those eyes!

Karen, wheels turning in the eyes. Yes, that's me all right. The wheels are always turning, even when I'm supposed to be asleep. Thanks.

thanks chewy. It is a pretty happy day.

Thanks soulbrush. The finger is much better. It had a good rest today. Love your silly poem. Guess that's a universal poem eh?

Marianne, I bought some decadent pastries at a posh bakery near where I got my facial so that will be my birthday cake.

To all, the facial was great. Hot towels on the face, two different masques, facial and neck massage. I dont really like a lot of oils and creams on my face, but I did get the moisturizer at the end. Could have skipped that part as skin feels greasy but all else was wonderful. A major luxury indulgence for sure.

M. Heart, thanks for the b-day greetings. Had a good day.

thanks fiorobbo.

Quiche, and fellow Libran. Thanks for the birthday wishes and kind words. Hope you too have a fabulous birthday.

Annie, thank you. It was a lovely day weather wise, I had a facial (very yuppie eh?) which was lovely, and I bought some chocolate mousse at a deluctable bakery nearby and it was delicious.

Patti, thanks. I went thru a phase of doing lots of Mother and child paintings myself and I love Mary Cassatt who is mostly known for a very few works but who was quite varied and accomplished.

Karen, I just loooove that sweet little poem. Written just for me, thank you.

Debbie, thank you for the greetings and e-hugs. Big e-hugs to you too.

Suki, I hadn't seen the first picture, absolutely delightful, so full of joy and curiosity, and the highchair and the flowers, the old wood and the light. A precious moment in time,
thanks for sharing this, too,
Andrea

Andrea I added this photo later, maybe that's why you missed it. It is probably my favorite photo of me as a child. With I were that perky now, even with a little wisp of hair tied in a bow.
