Leaves seem to be our focus right now. I too am focused on leaves. Our colorchange has not occurred yet - although I did see a red leaf or two out on my walk this past weekend. Lovely header on your blog - and very nice drawing of the leaves. With regard to your finger - do hope it feels better. Thank goodness you have nine more! Be sure to take good care of those.

wonder if you broke a blood vessel in lifting light box. I hope it heals quickly. Thanks for commenting even if briefly. Thanks again for your gifts that came in the mail yesterday. I am smiling. :)))
Wonderful drawing. love the color behind the leaves.

Suki, I think you should limit your joy today to walking in the sun and reading...what do you think? Anyway, you need to give that finger time to heal fast...you know we can't do without our Suki fix! Well, I have trouble doing without it!

I love this drawing a lot and the addition of the red is wonderful! I like the way you have chosen to make the negative spaces pop! We also know what is on your mind right now...all those beautiful New England leaves!

Thanks Suki and take care of that finger...you might see if some arnica montana will help it heal any faster.

So sorry you hurt your finger Suki.
Thanks for commenting on my blog with it this morning. ;-(
Your fall leaves are wonderful and the background color really brings them to the fore front.

Heal quickly.

So fall inspired, I wish it could stay fall for a long time...like until March.

Bummer about your finger, have you tried to ice it at all?

Hi Clevelandgirlie. this is the hot season here for leaf peeking and a big business for the area. Thanks for your comments.

Cris you may be right abt the blood vessal. The swelling seems better now at noon. Less sore.

kim, I slathered it with arnica right away and again today. I am sure that helps with the bruising. Thanks for the suggestion. Well, today was a day of getting Mom to the doctor which nowadays involves praying she doesnt fall or anything. Then dump trip and library for mom and bank stop all for mom. That glue. But now I am about to take a walk. Thanks,Suki

thanks Lynn. Miss calender girl!

Karen, guess I should have used ice right away. If it swells up again I will, thanks for the suggestion.

Totally fabulous colour, shape and pattern. Love it!

Get better very, very soon :-) Hope there is no infection.

welcome Willow and thank you. Will stop by your blog soon.

Kim, I'm all stuck up. :) Hopefully with acid free glue.

Sweetie, thank you for your kind words. My little head swells.

belle, I was able to get around to a few of the big draw folks, but not all.

britt-arnhild, not sure what happened. Perhaps as Cris suggested I broke a blood vessel as finger swollen and black and blue.

Hi Mary ann. Thanks for the email heads up. I do often forget.

Thanks Elizabeth. No infection, no cut. Just some sort of trauma of unknown origin.

This is pretty, Suki, but what have you done to your finger? I must have missed the post where you said what you did. So sorry you are disabled!

Rowena said...

Gasp! So pretty. I love the conte crayon and the leaves.

I hope you feel better soon. How will you draw? Or will it change how you draw, allowing you to be more expressive with your booboo finger, needing to go outside of your usual zone of comfort?

Hi Suki,
You have been drawing like crazy. And a variety of subjects. Micron pens are great and archival.

Thanks soulbrush. I know. I can only thing of cris' husband Con who actually lost parts of some of his fingers. And I'm boohooing over just one that is bruise. Much better today. (thursday)

Katie Jane I must have sprained the finger lifting up some long paper filled boxes not heavy. Otherwise I cant figure out how I did this. Still bruised but swelling has gone down.

Rowena, I drew with my right hand as opposed to the left. also gingerly. Thanks re: leaves. I was happy w/this one.

Chewy, I like micron pens as they flow fairly well and dont blurr should i add paint.

thanks Marianne. Finger much better though been typing a lot so have to see what happens. Drawing with right hand y'day and maybe today just for fun.
