Love the drawing. A good memory keeper too.I'm finally feeling the drawing urge now. Had a nice low key weekend which I needed. Nice feeling. Now that said I need to work on todays drawing sometime today. :))
wonderful drawing, Suki. And you know, I still have this photo you made last autumn, with the wild turkeys on the grass, in front of the little house:), on my computer screen at safety-job:) every day I love to see it Andrea
Oh, I like these Suki. I want to try to do some with these squiggly ink lines. Cool. Love the trees, the shading and the little cabin. Looks cozy. Yes, Andrea reminds me about Hatching. I learned that in art class last year was it? ;-)
Suki, Yet another great drawing. I wonder how this tree line will look after the leaves fall or when snow arrives...beauty I'm sure in each view! I had a full afternoon in the studio...wow, that felt good! Mary Ann
Suki, these are really wonderful. Like Marianne, they make me want to sketch realistic things, but I know where that would lead me...and time is prohibitive. I really need to stick with my plan here.
I really love the drawings you are doing...as they are so varied and very appealing.
just one comment here to Kai, Annie, Kim and Mim. Re: finger. Thank you for yr encouragement. Last yr big draw was very hard but this yr am having more fun except now not sure if will be able to draw w/ swollwn finger on left dominant hand
I am sure the big draw allows for injuries. But you could try drawing with your non-dominant hand, too! When I was in Montpelier in August, there was a show of a woman's paintings in Capital Grounds (local coffee shop). These paintings were done entirely with her non-dominant hand during a 6 month period when she was recovering from some surgery. So you never know what might come of that! Hey, I might give that a try today, too. But all of my sketches look as though they are done with my non-dominant hand! :)
Loving your pen drawings. Is this the field I remember from the photos you took and posted last year? The hut rings a bell in my head - weren't there wild turkeys? I loved that picture/ that field...so jealous! :-)
Ah ha! I see from Andrea's comment yes it is!! Could you re post (or email)the photo so I may have a copy for my desktop too? Pretty, pretty please?
I'm with Kim on the non-dominant hand idea... in fact I too shall try it out for fun. Excellent idea!
Hope your finger recovers soon. Huge Hugs and good wishes, E
KIm great idea. I'll try to remember for the thursd drawing as i have the wed drawing done already. I think maybe Betty Edwards or someone has this in a book as I know i've done it before, but maybe that was write with non-dominant hand.
Elizabeth, yes you figured right, same field. I'll see if I can find the photo and do one of those, repost or email.

That's a place I'd like to just hang for awhile. Very peaceful.

Thanks Marianne. Actually, sketching is a fun thing to do when I have not a lot of time. Although I suppose you can spend a long time on sketches too.
Thanks Cris. Glad to hear you rested this weekend to replenish the well.
Amanda, the field is a wonderful place.
Andrea, so funny you still have turkeys on your computer. i have really come to love those turkeys.
ps: your hatching is good, Suki, just enough to create a magical feeling in the underwoods behind the little house:), love

Aloha,
I've not played with micro pens in a long time..your art is just gorgeous and has given me the encouragement to try..
Peace, Kai
Lovely drawing Suki. I am happy you are having so much fun doing these.
Oh Suki - these are great! My first impression was winter, cold stark but beautiful. These really are wonderful.

Do get well, Suki!

red riding hood's grandma's cottage, or the three bear's cottage...i think i am missing the kids at school (not).
I love all the different marks on these ones and the balance with the blank space works well. Really nice.
Soulbrush, hadn't thought of Red Riding Hood. The little house is falling in on itself in reality.
thanks fiorobbo, not sure I really "get" hatching etc but making a try.
