Big draw day 21

Pen. Thanks everyone for the feedback on my landscapes. I should try some more perhaps. One thing about posting for the big draw every day, I am not posting about other things. What other things I don't exactly know. I tend to choose my post topics according to my leanings on any particular day. I don't plan ahead. I like the freewheeling freedom of just babbling away. But I don't want to overtax any readers, or myself, so am holding back such babblings. Well, only another week and a half to go!

Suki, it took me a second to figure out what the drawing was(it is early, I am sleepy), but then it made me smile when I saw it was your shoes :-).

Ah, the feet from the other drawings now focused on.
Babbel away...you always make me think and that is a good thing.
The feet are resting...and one needs a shoe lace...so you are not yet ready to GO anywhere new...
resting...taking your time...

Annie, yes, enlarged (as compared with in y'days drawing)

Andrea thanks.

Lynn, I guess that's it. I'm resting.

Soulbrush, glad you enjoy my babble.

The shoes are great! Makes me feel like I should sit down and contemplate my shoes--maybe it would get me out of my rut...

You crack me up. Only a week and half to go. I am feeling the same way but at the same time wishing it wasnt going to be over as I am enjoying filling my sketch book up with fun things. I guess I can still draw when the mood strikes and post it.
I think your landscapes are fun and you should do more. and these shoes are great. Shoes are that easy to do.
And babble away thats how we get to know each other. I too tend to free wheel my blogs. Thats what is fun about them.

oops. shoes are NOT that easy to draw I meant. lol

No Suki, don't hold back! I love what you have to share. I don't plan my posts either, so we are the same. That is why some days there is just not so much to say...kind of like today. :)

I love these shoes...I am assuming they belong to you! :) Am I right? You are really doing well with these drawings! Maybe you can illustrate your own books!

Karen, well sometimes the most interesting subjects are right in front of us, I guess.

Kai,These were my feet down by the pond without the pond around them.

Mary, I love Van G's shoes too.

Cris, I'm thinking of showing a picture of the bunch of pages I've filled in my notebook which is now almost full in fact. Last year I finished out a notebook too.

Kim, yes these are my clunky walking shoes which are the most practical pair of shoes I've ever bought I think for up here. I could never be an illustrator. They have to repeat images the same way over and over and I can never repeat myself. But thanks for the compliment. On the other hand if you are thinking of say a book of short saying or poems with an illustration on the opposite page, that might be something to try.

Teri, yes I agree. This lying down with feet up is called "Passive yoga" I am a master at it.

My ears were burning.

I hate to say this, but I saw no shoe, just half a man's face, with stubble and bad breath. 'Course, it's obvious NOW it's a shoe, now it's been explained to me. Sigh.

(Love line drawings, so much scope to walk the mind. Look forward to peeking in again at some more.)

Love this sketch Suki,,,it actually was my favorite part of your pond one, as I can see you sitting there, taking in the sun.
(in your hand painted wooden chair)
Beautiful job!

Please keep up the babble,,it makes those of us who also do it feel better!

I read in an art book that shoes are a good thing to try and draw, how fun. You have such free lines, like a confidence that the pen/pencil is taking you to where you are going!

I have to post a crow picture soon but just got tagged so this is a "tag and run" post. You have just been tagged!

I like the babbling. Don't hold back at all.

I liked the four elements - fascinating... Bobb would be interested to see those I think....

I just realized this Big Draw is every day for the month of October. Your shoe drawing is great. You've captured their character; sturdy, comfy, sensible walking shoes . btw Love your header photo.

shrinky, welcome and thanks for stopping by. Maybe it was just my ineptitude at drawing the shoes. or you have a wild eye!

Hi Karen. Thanks for tagging me and for the comments about my drawings. Makes me feel good.

Hi Babs. I am sure to get back to the babble soon. I love shoes. They tell so much. that was my favorite part of the whole scene too I think.

Honor thanks. I'll try not to hold back. The four elements was an interesting experiment. thanks for your comment. Why Bob? Does he draw. I dont follow him but have seen him on yr blog. And human being's blog.

Chewy, yes, all month. Each day coming up with drawings. I am sure it is good for me, kinda like taking a vitamin. Or some tonic or other to ward off pneumonia. thanks re: shoes and blog banner. Wish I lived in that sweet house.

Love the gentle resting sneakers...perhaps a self portrait as you sat reclining with your drawing pad?

sukipoet said...

Hi Yogaforcynics. That's a great idea. For some reason I am drawn to drawing self-portraits all of a sudden. Must mean something.....

I mentioned that bobb would like these because he loves to write poetry on each of the elements :)
