Look What Came in the Mail!

My first trades for ATC's. This is one from Chewy. It is truly a work of art. It is so cheerful and full of energy it makes my heart sing. Thanks so much Chewy.

I had to show you this. The card was packaged between two pieces of cardboard with yellow paper on top. And these cute little tape tabs. When you pull, the package opens. Chewy you are tooooo much.

The same day I received this card from Karen. See her blog here. It too is bright and cheerful. I guess I'm attracted to cheerful nowadays. And I didn't realize till after I received it, the house image must have drawn me to it. I need to surround myself with house images. Thank you so much Karen for sharing your talent and zest with me. A treasure.

Karen included the ATC in this cool card. The words were made on the Wordle web site. Karen's web site and all her handmade works include a bee image. It's her signature trademark. Beeeee good, Johnny. I am placing these two cards in a prominent place to give me cheer through the upcoming dark months of winter. They are like sunshine light bulbs.

Oh Suki, these are truly cheerful and so colorful. What a great thing to be doing...actually trading the cards as they were originally intended! And that Chewy is really something...very clever.

And do you have the images of your cards you traded for these? I would love to see them, too!

This is indeed exciting, Suki!

I love the cards and Chewy's is my favorite. I might start doing this if I ever get the time :-). What fun!

This does look like fun. I need to think about doing this too. Maybe do chairs or something. Need to figure out what you put them on and how big. I love the brightness & cheerfulness of both of them.

Yes, keep that HOUSE imagine in your mind, and the perfect house is coming to you NOW.

Thanks for becoming a Lynn Follower. Is your robe quilted yet?

Glorious, Suki! I've been a fan of Chewy's art for a long time now, but Karen is a new discovery.

Yes, I believe you will bask in these light-filled artworks the entire winter. They carry the light of their makers.

Wow! A Big Surprise to find your post of my card. (big smile)

I have been occupied with real life and haven't been blogging the past few days.

Kim, this is more fun that I imagined. I love it. Do you think in some future Antiques Roadshow these will be as valuable as baseball cards????? You can see all my cards on my picasa web album. Link in sidebar. Chewy's is #18 and Karen's is #11. they say "traded" next to them.

Annie, let me know if you have cards to trade. I'd love to trade with you. It is so fun.

Cris I think the only real "rule"is the cards have to be 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. Otherwise you can decorate the card any way you like.

Hi Lynn, not too sure what you mean by "is your robe quilted yet." ???

Chewy, thanks for the email. I was away all day so havent gotten to emails yet. I do love my fireworks flower. those sparkly bits are fly fishing tie threads. For making flies. For fishing. ;)

San, these are wonderful art works. Both. A really fun way to exchange art.

Marianne, it is a great idea. I think there are whole clubs and groups who exchange but I feel pressure when joining groups. I'd rather do it in this casual way. Be well, suki

Hi Suki Poet,
I came here from San's and I really love your Web site. I'm also a libra and love the quote on impermanance. It makes me relax! I'm going to read. Thanks!

M. Heart, it is a great way to spend a rainy weekend.

Meg, thanks for stopping by. I like reminders about impermanence every once in awhile. It does relieve some pressure doesn't it? I'll stop by your blog soon. Thanks, Suki
