ATC and an award

Received this lovely ATC from M. Hert. That should be heart. The "A" is missing. :)
M. Heart's missing "A" refers to Neil Armstrong's error when he said "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." It should have been "a" man. Who knew? I learned this from reading M. Heart's blog. Take a peek.
Here is the cute greeting card M. Heart sent. She takes photos of tiny creatures that live close to the ground.

I received this award from Soulbrush. Love the colors and pattern. Thanks so much, Soulbrush. Again, being lazy, I offer this to everyone who reads this post. Place it in your sidebar, pass it on. Keep on making art. Namaste, Suki

Yes, the silver on the ATC makes it as do the stamped letters...I am learning here, gathering ideas... Cute snail.
Never heard the A Man thing either.
Interesting.
You deserve that award. Hang it with pride!

Can't say I agree with the missing 'a'. Poetically it's much better without it and I think he was saying 'man' as present and 'mankind' as past and future.

Kim, I am getting quite a collection. lucky me!!

Lynn, I like the silver too and I brought back my rubber stamps from storage so hope to begin using them too. They are fun.

Chook, Well, I wondered about the missing A too. I mean who determined that the a was missing? Or that it "should" have been there. I must say I didnt totally understand unless Neil Armstrong himself said, on return to earth, ooops I mean to say "a man" not man. It reads well both ways.

Okay, I am asking one more artist, what is the size for an ATC?
Are they really ONLY two and a half by three and a half inches? That seems so small to me.
Please let me know, I know you will. You have many that I am attracted to.

Hi Babs. Good to hear from you again.Hope you are well and happy this fall.

LYNN, YES, ATc's are 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 officially. Though I suppose you can make them anything you want. That is very small, but it was kinda fun fitting stuff into that small space.

Cris, maybe the missing A is an urban myth. ??

i actually first heard about the missing "a" on national public radio — it was new sound-editing software that led to it's discover. armstrong has been insisting all along that he meant to include the "a" and believes that he did, but until 2006 it was his word against what was heard at mission control!

don't know why the story stuck in my mind though. what will they hear next, a tree falling in the woods?!
