I finished my art money for all it's worth :)
I won't know till this is published whether these can be enlarged. Am writing it Monday night to be published at Tuesday midnight as I'm taking Mom to a doctor's appointment early in the morning. Routine.
Thank you everyone for your heartening comments on the further drama's of Suki. I appreciated all the story sharings and ideas and concrete things I might do. I am practicing lots of yoga to keep my spine open and keep the energy flowing. Monday I got a haircut, Friday I will get my massage. Namaste, Suki

i opened both pics in a new page... they got a bit enlarged... and i found a collection of awesome artworks to look at for a long time...
Suki, your art moneys are invaluable...
namaste!
wow great stuff..let these artistic energies flow, they will be your salvation and the haircut and massage both sound just right for YOU. hugs and wfs.
Suki, these both opened for me, too! I love what you have done and the papers and so beautiful. You are so prolific! I think you have started an art money program here! What do you think?
Really great work...
I hope all is well with your mother's appointment today!
Suki, these are wonderful! They enlarged for me too. Enjoy your haircut and massage :-).
I couldnt see them very well when they enlarged. but they look great from what I can see.
I too hope all is well with your Mom today.
Thanks human being. Now, if only I could buy a house with my art money.
Soulbrush, art is a wonderful therapy and salvation for sure.
Kim, I contemplated opening a blog with art money shown but I think the orgainzation of such a blog, with other's contributions of course, is beyond me at the moment. Mom saw the breast cancer doctor and he seemed to think she was doing okay. Her mamogram of a few months ago was "clear" as mom says. He took her off the tamoxifen as it is contraindicated for those with heart disease. He said have a good year and eat a lot of desserts! When we got home Mom later suggested we go out to lunch this week sometime. Guess she's going to take the Dr's advice and live it up while she may.
Thanks Annie, I've already enjoyed the hair cut and as this salon also has facials I may treat myself to one in my birthday month of October. The massage is yet to come.
Cris, I think I was lazy, not wanting to upload all eighteen of the usual sized photos, doing them in a group like this. Mom's Dr visit was okay. See my comment above this one for full details.
Suki!
Oh I am glad the news is good for your mother! Beautiful! And she is going to live it up now! I am glad the two of you will go out for lunch and enjoy yourselves. She is clearly enjoying (in her own way) you being there for her.
Now, I think that would be a cool thing to do with the other blog. I know you are busy, right now, but it is something which might be a good winter project. You might ask for advice about it here to see what people think.
Your money would be loads more fun to spend than the stuff in my wallet. But then again... I might turn stingy and save it all! (grin) I always feel better after a hair cut.
wow, these are fantastic! you've been busy! and that's great news about your mom. phew.
lots of desserts, good advice. i will add that she should even eat them before the meal ;)
Kim dear thanks for returning. I can barely remember the last time Mom and I went out to eat. In fact, it wasn't just Mom and I but Dad and maybe even my brother and his wife many years ago. My parents didn't go out to eat often. So this will be very special to me, especially as Mom has such trouble walking and gets so tired so I know it will be a big physical effort for her. actually I did start a new blog on wordpress though I havent put anything on it. Also I cant quite remember what it's called. But I used "CoraSandel" as my secret code name. What I cant figure out is more the mechanics of how to do the business part of the art money exchange. but that's a good idea to do a post about it and ask everyone for ideas.
Thanks Chewy. I'm so tempted to just give my money away. My haircut did make me feel energized and a bit jazzy.
m.heart, YES to desert before the meal. I rarely do that but after eating out especially there is often no room for desert. A cream puff for me and for Mom, cheesecake.
Suki, you are a cream puff and jazzy!
It will be lovely to hear about your delightful meal. What a precious thing for you and your mother to do together.
Sorry to read trough all your posts and see what has been happening and about the loss of your sister-in-law.
I hope better days are ahead, and that some good and happy momments will come to you soon!
Namaste!
Hi Suki,
Love your money!
I think it was in a post before, but what is it for?
I will scroll through some older post and find out hopefully.
A haircut does it for me as well. When I am angry or frustrated......
Hope your jazzy hairstyle combined with the massage will make you feel much better!
Love >M<
the art money enlarged a little but I hope to be able to see some larger. Or I need new glasses.......:)
Just stopped by to say hello! it should be a beautiful weekend so have some fun and eat lots of ice-cream
how are you today? think you are a fighter and a winner, and will get over most things that life throws at you (like me). a new blog...that sounds coool.
have you seen your brother since he stormed out?
Kim you are so funny. Yes, I look forward to going out on the town with Mom.
Pat thank you. I know my sister in laws death was hard for a lot of people, especially my brother. Thank you for your good wishes.
Hi Marianne. I posted photos of some of this money before in process and a few completed. This time I posted all pieces completed. I am not sure what they are for, in my case. But you can make these and post them on the artmoney site. People can buy them as art or they can use them as money at various shops and so forth who participate. Most of these places are in Europe though. Most likely though I wont list mine at the official site because you have to give them your bank account info.
Thanks Mim. I'm contemplating going to a pick your own place to pick peaches. Or was that last weekend? Anyway, it should be a good time. Hope you have a great WE also.
Soulbrush. One thing I know about myself, through the years, is I am resourceful. Also relatively intelligent and basically practical. I have not seen my brother yet, however he will stop by this morning before he leaves for 4 days in NY. I did not sleep well last night, my brain churning and my get back to sleep tricks did not work until around 3. I dreamt I was in a prison and trying to escape from the guards. Hmmmmmm. Thanks for checking in and asking. Be well, Suki
I don't quite get the concept of art money.......
Your art money is very valuable and beautiful. I see it being used as trade/barter for other's art. I thought that was the concept behind it, but perhaps I just made that up. Like the "art cards" people make to trade, give away...
I love your mother's doctors' directive about "go eat a lot of desserts"! When my mom lived with us her last year of life she loved strawberry ice cream. She had gained too much weight from over eating before she came to us and we worked on taking her for walks and monitoring her desserts. Her weight did go down, and perhaps she was more comfortable because of it, but later, after she died, I felt guilty as sin for not giving her more strawberry ice cream! I feel sad right now thinking about that!
So I hope your mom enjoys her desserts and you with her.
and I wish with your brother in NY she'd stop into the lawyers office and change her will for you too!
Then you can both have your just desserts! ;-)

That facial and massage will certainly put a smile on your beautiful face Suki, enjoy!
Hi Suki,
I've just read through your blog and read about your sister in law. I'm so sorry for your trouble.
You seem to be dealing with this loss so beautifully - I love your reflective photographs and posts - a loving tribute indeed.
I had a massage yesterday, and it was just the most wonderful thing! I hope yours is just as good :o)
Arohanui,
Lesley.
Good luck with your publishing Suki.
Paula, I left the art money web address on your blog. It may explain better what it is. I don't quite get it in full either but i thought it was fun.
Lynn, I'm sorry you feel guilty about your Mom. My theory is when folks are old and/or dying they should get to eat anything they desire. But I can see where overweight from eating might make others think of exercise and diet.Mom actually can't eat a lot of sugar as she is diabetic. But she had been, before I came up here to live with her, buying jewelry on some tv show. She loves jewelry and wears different ones every day. My brother said he "had a talk with her" about the purchases and now she "has a limit." I was not in on this discussion. Frankly, unless she is spending thousands a month or something, I feel she should be able to buy whatever jewels she wants. She obviously has a thirst for them. I know my Dad too was very thrifty (near stingy at times) re: buying such things. Hey, it's her money now....she could go to Europe on it if she wants and spend tons more than she was on the jewels.
Thanks Lesley. A death in the family surely gets one thinking and feeling. The massage is tomorrow and I look forward to it. I've had them before and some I've like and some not so much but it will be an adventure.
