Both Kim at Creating Space and M. Heart at Secret Notebooks nominated me for this award. I'm so excited to be nominated. It 's such a surprise and so sweet. If you don't know Kim and M. Heart, do check out their blogs. Kim is a wonderful abstract artist and teacher. She writes inspirational interviews with other artists. Read a few, I know you will be fascinated. M. Heart is a fabulous photographer. She shares her life, loves (such as food and toys) and summer bike travels with us on her blog.
Here are the "rules" of accepting the award. Please note: you can copy and paste these rules from my blog to yours.
1) Put the logo on your blog.
2) Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4) Add links to those blogs on yours.
5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.
I would like to nominate everyone whose blogs I read. Just see my blogroll in the sidebar. But I would like to specifically point the way to a few bloggers who may or may not be new to you.
Honor is from Canada and writes about her life which is taking a new turn into more creativity. She is a poet and prose writer. Britt-arnhild lives in Norway and writes about life there, her family, projects she is working on, her travels. Recently she published a book and she is working on a second.
Patti lives in Australia, paints wonderful, colorful paintings and blogs about life in her country. Marianne lives in the Netherlands and creates beautiful mandalas both on the computer and by hand. She blogs about her life, her pets, her travels.
Mary Richmond is a writer and artist. She posts about her art, poses thought-provoking questions, and writes about her life on beautiful Cape Cod. Forever young has taken a vow to post 365 "giggles" this year. Don't they say a giggle a day keeps the doctor away?
I know Andrea has been nominated for many awards, but what about Miss Doodle? Miss Doodle, I fear you have been overlooked. I mean, you are not your secretary are you? You are an independent woman of your own right. So, I nominate Miss Doodle of Paris, France. With the fabulous wardrobe and flowing hair.
And last but not least Lynn, fabulous quilter who blogs about her art and travels from California. And Cris in Oregon who is an oil painter and birdwatcher. Please stop by and visit these blogs. I know you will not be disappointed.
No idea why the type size keeps changing but I'm not going to mess around with it. Now, I just need to pray these links work. I always seem to have one or two that don't because, usually, I have made a typo. I don't think you can test the links out until you post the blog, but if anyone knows differently do tell me. Blessings to all, Suki

Thanks, Suki! It is such an honor! I already have a link to you on my blog but will be sure to have one in the next post as well.
How fun! Remember when we started to blog? What neophytes we were???
Suki you are so lovely and funny! I had to laugh cause I thought you expressly changed the police in every paragraph, and thought it was kind of excentric, you know, (LOL), now I laugh my head off.
Thanks so much for Miss Doodle's award, this is great! I, the secretary, got the award from Kim, but it is so great to think of Miss Doodle's autonomy:)
thanks so much, lots of love to you,
my friend, and keep up the fun,
love
Andrea
Suki thank you. How sweet to get a nice mention here.. and kudos in figuring out the linking bit on your blog even if you did get different type. You did it.
Kim gave me this award to so this is all the more lovely to have it given to me twice. :):)
You are welcome, Mary. Your blog is so interesting. I do love your art posts and also your ponderings posts which make me think. Well, I think I blogged for a year or so before anyone ever read it. It is such fun.
Andrea, I didn't want Miss Doodle to feel left out. she might have to go out on a shopping bing to make herself feel better.
Cris, a well deserved reward for you. Two nominations. Just shows how much you are loved. Take care, Suki
Isn't it fabulous that we can visit all around the world with a click of our mouse? I have become friends with more artists on the internet than I know in the "real world".
Thanks for links to more wonderful blogs to visit.
Hey Chewy, well a couple of these folks are writers rather than visual artists but they are all so interesting. Yes, I love it that the world is so near. :)
giggle, giggle, what fun, thanks so much, i do feel an affinity with you - more and more as time goes by. hugs.
you are welcome, Forever Young.
Like cestandrea I thought you had done that different type on purpose and I really liked it :-).
Thanks for givng me so many new blogs to check out!
Thank you Suki for this great honor.
I can't figure out how to make links work so I'll just curtsy here and be gone. But welcome all who want to come to my blog for a visit/or stay for a long while; and I'd have to nominate most of who you nominated as we run in similar circles in blogland. ;-)
Congratulations!! hopped over from Forver young, and i quite like it here..
Hi Annie. Maybe I should have taken credit for the artistic switching in type, but alas I am too honest I guess... Thanks for stopping by.
Lynn, of course no obligations to carry through with links. I have received a number of awards that I did not carry through on. It's a lot of work.
How do we know, thanks for stopping by. Will check out yr blog soon. Be well, Suki
Congratulations on this award, Suki. You deserve it! And thanks for recommending the other blogs.
Thank you Suki! I haven't been blogging much lately, so I'm a little late getting to your post. I will have a look at the others you mentioned too.
Thanks San. Hope you find something to interest you in the blog links.
Patti, I just love your blog and wanted the world to know about it. Well, maybe the entire world doesnt read my blog, but whatever....
Dear Suki,
Thank you for giving me the award!
I feel honoured ! I'm blessed to have you as a blogfriend!
Love >M<
Ps I'm a bit behind with everything but I will catch up later.........
You are very welcome Marianne. You know, one of the first posts of yours I read was photos of where you live. I was so charmed. On the radio on sunday they talked about a bookstore in the Netherlands, possibly the largest in the world? It is in a church. They said the town name but I have no memory to hold it. Kinda cool.
hi Suki,
I had to look that up because I have never heard of it. Shame on me......
It is Selexyz in Maastricht, a city I have never been too but it is high on my list of places I want to see. My husband and I were just looking at the site and dreaming of a visit to Maastricht, maybe you have started something Suki!
here is a link to the shop
Who knows I will go there one day and I will let you join my visit just as you always let me join you on your trips!
Love >M<
Suki, I am absolutely thrilled and honored that you nominated me for an award. Blogging is such an interesting phenomenon - I just started in March you know? And it is interesting to see its impact on my life and my writing. I know that I value being in connection with you and other such creative souls on a regular basis ... it truly is a gift.
I have such trouble identifying only seven other people to be also nominated, so I'll just leave my award here in your safekeeping. It is enough that you thought of me.
Blessings to you !
Roxanne
Marianne, thanks for this link to the church bookstore. That'd be cool if you went to that city. Also, thanks for the email with the further link. Love it, such a beautiful building and they talked on the program of the many changes of occupancy the church has gone through. Hope it has settle d now on being a book store.
Honor, you are welcome to the award. I have gotten some awards that I just let sit there too, so that sounds cool. Be well, suki
