Wild Irises

In the field behind the garden they grow. Mom doesn't know where they came from. She didn't plant them. Each year there are more.

Lovely flowers in the wild. and look at the yellow next to the purple. Opposite's on the color wheel makes for a wonderful pop.
As we walk around this area we notices lots of daffodils and other flowers popping up in the fields and wonder just how they got there. They seem like Garden flowers only and there they are out in the wild. Lovely post.
Have a great weekend.
How is does it seem to be back there now after visiting your former home town you adjusting all right?

I LOVE the wisteria (or whatever) the flowers in your new banner Suki. Just so summery and lovely.
I can almost smell them.
Beautiful iris' too...magical when they just appear out of no where. They are blubs so I imagine someone had to have planted them. Pehaps mom has forgotten. ;-)

I've been away so long I missed several of your posts, but I'm now enjoying them all,,,, catching up! Loved seeing your quilt your Mom made, and the painting your Mom-in-law had, and the pillow. By the way I LOVE the painting!
Excellent interview Suki, that Kim is a doll, huh? !!

Due to receiving all this spam I have reinsituted the thing where you have to type in letters to post the comment.

Lynn, I know they are bulbs. But Mom didn't plant these. There are some up by the barn too. They are also spreading each year.

Cris. this time the adjustment was less traumatic as some of my things are here and I have my studio and little bedroom. Plus it is summer.

Andrea, the irises, I can't really capture how miraculous they look out there in the grasses.

Katie Jane, I guess that could be a motto for myself. Bloom where I am planted.

Sandpiper, I too love this time of year the best. I love the greenery, the flowers, the birds twirping, the babies being born, and the heat.

PS Lynn, yes that is wisteria.

Hi Babs. So funny the mind, Mom not remembering making the quilt. She didnt like it as she made some mistake. It is done with folding the squares and she folded them the wrong way. Or so she said. Now, all that is gone from her mind. Interesting. Thanks for your comments on my painting and the interview. Kim is miraculous.

Honor, such a lovely comment. Yes, random acts of beauty like random acts of kindness (a bumper sticker saying here). I know mom didn't plant them there. Somehow they came from somewhere else. Grace as you say. :)

No need to tell you I love these flowers......

Human Being, that lottery guy is a drag for sure. But how did he get on your blog. You have verification don't you? well, maybe not.

Marianne, These irises are small, I guess because they are out in the field. I love to look at them, they are still blooming.
