Happy Mother's Day to moms everywhere.

Today I am thinking of the moms and dads and children who survived that terrible cyclone only to now be left to starve to death due to governmental decisions that are not humane. Sometimes life just is so unjust. And it is painful to see and feel so helpless about.

On a lighter note I will get a belated mother's day treat when my daughter and grandchildren come to visit in two weeks time. That of course makes me very happy.

Wow... the flowers are so cute...
Thanks
Happy Mother's Day to you, dearest Suki.
Think you are one the best mothers... because your love is not mixed with possession and owning... you've let your child decide for his life...
love... hugs... kisses

p.s. thought tomorrow is Mother's Day... isn't it the second Sunday?

happy mothers day to all of you on the other side of the pond, (we had ours in britain in march)...
my thanks goes to all the children out there, for without them, we wouldn't be who we are!

Yes, Lynn. That is something hard to understand. The government of Burma.

Glad you will have a treat with your daughter and the kids in a couple of weeks.

HB Yes, Sunday is Mother's Day. I just posted the wishes a day early.

FY interesting that you have a March mother's day. I wonder why it's different???

Happy Mother's Day!
Hope your mother is ok!
I will visit my mom who will be spending the day at her own home (she is allowed to do so lately).

Hi Mary. I'll checkout your post.

Marianne, that's great that your Mom can go home for the day. I hope it goes well for her and for you. Blessings, Suki

Suki how IS your mother doing now. I think of her and I am happy she is home now, and you are near your Son at this time too.
Yes beautiful flowers.

Looking through your blog. Very pretty (and that is not really adequate enough :) I am a mother, so I appreciate your Mother's Day sentiment and I also send it to all. KC

Thank you Suki and Happy Mothers Day to you too. I am lucky to have two beautiful children. We will be enjoying dinner tonight, made by my daughter (who is a good cook!)

Cris, thanks for asking about Mom. She is doing well. Maybe it's the iron tablets she's now taking. She even walks outside and sits for awhile. Of course she is very frail but I am quite astonished at her abilities.

KC Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the compliments. Hope you have a happy mother's day.

Patti, your plans for Mother's Day sound lovely. To have someone cool a meal for you, what a treat. Actually, my son is a good cook too though as he doesnt' drive I won't see him today.

Hi Hopper/Jon. Thanks for your comment. I too am at a turning point in my life and have found my blog friends invaluable in keeping me feeling grounded and of use. Good luck working through your turning and coming out the other side. Be well, Suki

Beautiful flowers, Suki! And let's not forget the children who made their mothers...well, mothers! Our children bring out the best in our human-ness and love! We need to remember that, as well.

We are all so special and need each other to be who we are!

Peace!

Thanks Kim Yes, I would not be a mother were it not for my son. So, I give much thanks to him. I often think that his birthday is mother's day for me as it is both the day I became a mother and the day he came out into the world.
