Dreams

Been having a lot of dreams lately.

Last night: I am renting a large Victorian house with two other women. They decide to leave and I am stuck with the whole rent. I think with pleasure at being alone in the lovely house, but I fear I cant pay the rent alone.

I am without a car and want to get onto the Cape (accessible only via a bridge or boat). I see the mother of a friend who has a car and ask for a ride. No. Absolutely not, no matter how I try to convince her to give me a ride. She does give my son a ride though. So I have to walk to the bridge. But there I find a ferry and board it. It costs $22 for a ride. I hold out my money to pay and a woman in front of me tries to pry the bills out of my fingers. I hold on tight. Someone says I am able to do that as I am wearing gloves.

Two nights ago:
I am in California. I am walking up a hill to a restaurant and there is foam all over the place. I walk through the foam to get to the top.

Later a man is driving me in a car, along with others, to somewhere up the highway. The road is covered in snow. There is San Francisco, he said. I see the Golden Gate Bridge and also another green bridge.

upcoming changes worrying you? Need for change or a journey - yet fearful? What do you think?

Hi Mim. I dont know what to think about these dreams. A return to San Francisco, where I once lived, is a recurring dream for me. Though why the snow and foam?

You may be on the right track. A change needed, yet fear.

i had this one the other night that really shook me... one of those dreams where you realize you're awake... that ever happen to you???

sometimes when i'm walking through my waking life i ask myself... am i asleep... it's hard sometimes to know...

that place between sleep and awake, where we clearly remember our dreams, is as close as we get to pure inspiration... why i keep a dream journal next to my bed... some of the best creative writing i've done has come from dreams...

thanks for keeping in touch... sorry if the poetry chain was adversarial in some ways... that was never my intention... i've loved interacting with yourself and the other poets...

see ya around... cricket...

Maybe your subconscious is trying to pick out a place to move to. and your not letting go of the money is saying NO dont wanna go there.

PS.. Thank you for saying I can write but I was meaning poetry. One has to understand it better I guess to write it.

bridges ... bridges... a transitional period in your life.. you are deciding... bridges are so positive... a beautiful horizon...just move on ...do not fear... put away your inhibitions as snow melts and foam disappears...

hopper, yes I have had dreams where I am dreaming yet I feel as if I am awake, could swear it, if that is what you mean? then I really wake up and am so surprised.

Cris, interesting comment about not letting go of money as I am that way in real life. I've been sitting on an Dick Blick order for maybe 2 months now reluctant to spend the money.

human being, yes I think bridges are significant in dreams of challenges to be faced. The foam and snow, odditites really in California I think. But something to be gone through before the change perhaps.

Andrea, interesting you too can sense the need for change. I guess I can't deny it. And maybe I need to be figuring out a way I can live on my own and pay for it too. Write that proverbial great American novel? :)

i couldn't even begin to interpret these dreams. i only dream about my dead parents when i am very stressed, otherwise i can't remember what i dream!are they really worrying you?

FY my dreams dont worry me for the most part unless a nightmare which just scares me for awhile. I know all dreams and dream images come from within me and are a processing of thoughts and stuff in my brain. I think it is good to dream though they say we all do even if we don't remember. I love my dream world.

Not interperting here. but the foam made me think of foam put on a fire to extinquish it. ????
Made me wonder if it were prophetic and an earthquake were coming to San Francisco followed by a fire. It is coming, we just do not know when.

I'm not good in interpreting dreams, but it seems they want to tell you something...... all those bridges. Money worries. need a change but can't affort one?
I love my dreams, whenever I can remember them, I think they are very important

oh - i've been meaning to send you this ... but i have a dream book, and wanted to let you know:

houses represent the way we want to build our lives

journeys represent how we want to move forward

driving - may indicate - how we get control and who is in control

dreams can be very insightful ... good that you're keeping track of them :)

Thanks Lynn. I doubt it's a prophetic dream. Unless prophetic about something in my own life. Yes, that's the kind of foam it was, white fluffy stuff as would come out of a fire hose. Hmm.

Marianne, I love my dreams too. I seem to be dreaming a lot right now one after the other.

Honor, thanks for the dream cues. I have also read houses can refer to the body. The attic for example being one's thoughts. Or something, I may have that wrong. When younger I kept a dream journal and have several notebooks of dreams although I don't reread them. They are fascinating. Be well and have happy dreams.
