Ohhh, Suki! This is so delightful and fun! I ADORE Maple Sugar Candy! Andrea...it is lovely and just melts on your tongue. Just the tiniest nibble will do the trick, too!

As Kim says, a teeny bit of candy gives a huge whack of sugar high. It does melt on the tongue, esp when freshly made. I tried a piece yesterday out of the box I bought for myself just to make sure it was fresh and melty and yummmmmm is right!
Kim no I don't work in a sugar house. But the local sugar maple people do tap some of the trees on my mom's land.

Okay, sign me up! I would love to see the looks on the faces of my little three year old grandchildren as they lick the taste of delight from these little maple leaves. I bet they'd say they taste like pancakes! ;-)

oooh yummy! i know i was supposed to give up sugar but that didn't happen....i cut down, though! and i have plenty of people i could share it with. reminds me of living in western Mass. and traveling through Vermont and New Hampshire....

Yes, it's wonderfully easy for me to get to NYC - a five minute walk to the corner, hop on the train, 30 min to Penn Station, all for a $2 "senior" fare. Just have to remember to do it.

Oh yumm. I haven't had candy like this since I was a little girl. This was quite popular in Ohio where I grew up. I'll keep my fingers crossed! I think Andrea has a sweet tooth!!

Oh, those look wicked. I had some a few years ago at St. Jacob's, as many of the Mennonite farmers sell them. Did you MAKE these yourself?
