My housemate has a tank of eels, for the purpose of fishing bait. My housemate sets a trap out in the river (salt water), catches the eels and brings them home to the tank. An elderly woman I once took care of told me she and her husband used to eat eels. And for 27 years I lived near Eel Pond in Bourne and although I never saw any eels in there, probably there were. One things about living near the ocean, if you are hungry all you have to do is catch fish, eels, crabs, mussels etc and you can have a feast.
