The smell of new-mown grass rivals the sweetest rose. "Summer!" it calls out with every whiff. Such a fabulous shade of green. Truly a spirit-lifter for those passing by.

Our spring green here in the Gold Country is turning to the familiar golden brown meadows. Ah, but my lush little dell remains green and verdant, as most cultivated spots do. Our sprinklers and rivulets flowing freely do the work that Mother Nature does for you -- and we skip the humidity. : D

Suki, I was talking about SMOG GREEN in CA. :)) Really I didnt know that Greens could be so vibrant and pretty till I left CA for a trip to Montana in the 60ies.

The one thing I noticed when I first left CA was how GREEN the greens could be and how pretty the yellow greens were from the Smoggy and not much rains in SO CAL. Your colors are gorgeous there like here.

So rural. I haven't seen much harvesting around here yet. Everything is still growing. Well, maybe nearby some farmer baled some hay near here recently.
