The thing is I felt lazy with coloring in the background and tried to get it done fast with some charcoal and then seemed to have just a big mess and tried to cover that over with more conte crayon, sepia. All this included blurring it with a Kleenex. So, yes, it just didnt looks as neat and tidy as it did before I did all this. Thanks for you kind words about the drawing.sukipoethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09351851210507048174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34861243.post-86063928587233742052008-10-20T10:29:00.000-04:002008-10-20T10:29:00.000-04:00Hi Suki,I think it is so cool how you began with t...Hi Suki,

I think it is so cool how you began with the leaf idea and I can see that so clearly, but the idea of a map came up for me initially, as well. The red is fantastic, though. So the coloring in at the bottom just did not render this the way you were considering when you began. But you have a really nice drawing/piece of art never-the-less!

And the quote is fantastic, I agree!

Thanks, Suki!Andrea and Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15337904921232330088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34861243.post-6205753242430900422008-10-19T15:01:00.000-04:002008-10-19T15:01:00.000-04:00Thanks Willow.Soulbrush, I am convinced.Thanks Willow.

Soulbrush, I am convinced.sukipoethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09351851210507048174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34861243.post-84276646708970424052008-10-19T12:38:00.000-04:002008-10-19T12:38:00.000-04:00it looks like part of the world map to me too...it looks like part of the world map to me too...soulbrushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16879115279499153124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34861243.post-23918081615602366962008-10-18T22:49:00.000-04:002008-10-18T22:49:00.000-04:00Nice fall colors!Nice fall colors!Tess Kincaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04889725786678984293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34861243.post-73654894260947194932008-10-18T12:56:00.000-04:002008-10-18T12:56:00.000-04:00Lynn, you guys are great. Her approach is not didactic but quite meditative and inward.

Cris, thanks for passing on those words from your teacher. I do hope I am growing. And never stop till the day I die.

Teri, funny you say that abt elaborating on the map idea. I was just sitting here daydreaming and thinking about that, wondering what my imagination would come up with. Actually I love maps. I rarely go anywhere but my car is full of maps and i have boxes of them too. Hmmmm.....food for thought.sukipoethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09351851210507048174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34861243.post-85307309186784006122008-10-18T12:34:00.000-04:002008-10-18T12:34:00.000-04:00I also saw a map. But that doesnt mean failure, it only means we do it again & maybe again and learn from what we did before. Maybe it is! Fingers go up and down depending on how often I type with them. Karen Mowry suggested it might be gout which can affect fingers I guess and that i might eat cherries. So, guess I'll eat some cherries and see.

Thanks Annie.
